
Television is the source of all evil. Even though it has many great shows and it is in a way, a part of our culture, children suffer because of it. Television restricts kids minds. It has been shown that children watch hours and hours of television each night. This makes kids less apt to do homework or even get the recommended 8 hours of sleep each night they need to function. They should be studying instead for tests. Tests are very hard, and unfortunately inevitable. What we need to remember is to study, and relax because it is just a test. If you do bad there are always ways to make it better. Tests will always be with you in life and you should learn how to handle them now. Study, eat a big breakfast, and don't worry and you will always do great. T.v. should not be involved in that equation. Also, kids who watch t.v. rather than play sports, or participate in school activities, usually gain weight. So what would you rather be? A stimulated student with many activities, or a lazy couch potato who is overweight? That is your choice.

I agree with you on the whole tv/ couch potato thing.Personaly I do not watch that much tv. I play soccer and like playing softball with my friends. I also like to stay active. Personaly test for me are sometimes hard but people make them such a big deal when they are really nothing. I people would relax more when they have test some people would do better.
i agree with what you say. I would much rather be outside doing something productive then sitting inside on the couch watching TEE VEE. I usualy play sports whether its softball or football. i find it more enjoyable and fun to run around, adn it is also better for your body to get the exercise. TEE VEE is EVIL!

I agree completely with you. I think that many people are doing badly in school because of T.V. There are so many new shows that are stupid yet thats what kids like to watch. I usually get all scared and nervous when a test is coming up. Then after I take the test I realize that the test was nothing. I would rather be a person that is active with sports and in school than sit on the couch watching T.V.
i think that you are right and this is a serious problem. If people really want to change, it is simple. Just do what i did, limit yourself to only certain shows. Then, when those show arn't on, do your school work, play outside. DON'T GO ON THE COMPUTER BECAUSE IT DOES THE SAME THING.

I like TV, it is fun to watch... and i turned out ok =)
i also agree with you. tv does make kids loose exercise and gain weight. its healthier to be outside doing activities instead of sitting on the couch. But televion could be useful for news and whats going and for entertainment.
Well okay I do sports and I do okay in school but it's not my fault I'm not smart. I admit when i do homework I do it with the tv on. Like over the weekend I did some packet for US history while watching football and did really bad on it. TV isn't that bad because it gives you a chance to relax from school and all the activities. Just don't do your homework while watching tv and parents should put a time limit on tv if kids are watching too much of it.
I agree with you on the lazy couch potato thing. I really don't watch tv that often. I am usually out doing something all the time. Like I have tennis everyday after school that helps me stay active.
